I did install the dog door today. Dinah and Alice are old hands paws at it and adapted immediately.
Bess was dubious. She pawed at it tentatively, sat down and whimpered. With much coaxing (verbal and gustatory) and a hand to hold open the flap she went through, but it took most of the day for her to finally come through on her own. The last straw was seeing KJ tossing the ball for Dinah in the backyard. Whatever it takes...
You have done a great thing for our household! We will all be much happier with that dog door! (Even Bess).
ReplyDeleteFinally got to read all the Padre island posts. The way you describe things, throught eh eyes of an artist, simply beautiful. Will try to call today to discuss things like salmon jerky, a tiny homewarming gift that screamed "TANITH'S TRIP" the moment I walked intot he door. Many other things to put into a care package. We ALL are thinking of you two and everyone of us wishes we were there. Moose
